Robert Stack, CEO of Community Options and author of “Silent No Longer,” recently joined Dr. Benjamin “Josh” Doty, Associate Dean and Chair of the Department of English Literature and Language at St. Mary’s University in Texas for a guest lecture with students in the Medical Humanities Program.

The discussion explored advocacy, empathy, the importance of amplifying voices that have too often gone unheard, and examined healthcare challenges through a humanistic lens. The lecture was a wonderful opportunity to engage with students committed to thoughtful, inclusive approaches to care.

Speaking Engagement – The College of Staten Island in Staten Island, New York

Robert Stack, President and CEO of Community Options and author of “Silent No Longer,” visited The College of Staten Island for a guest lecture with students. Joining him was Sibette Vasquez, Community Options Government Relations Specialist.

Drawing from his four decades of advocacy and leadership, Stack lead a discussion that explored the ongoing challenges within disability services and the importance of advancing policies and practices that promote dignity, equity, and inclusion. Thank you to Dr. Sonia Brown, Lecturer in the College of Staten Island’s Department of Social Work, and the students for their thoughtful engagement and meaningful conversation.
